Welcome to part 7 of the walking tour and tutorial.
We are going to go back a few steps to where we
first got on the bus. Remember you saw the corner of the Comedy
Club? Well if we would have turned left on that street instead
of taking the bus. We would be heading South and would be standing
in front of the Comedy Club. Let's go in shall we?
Room number 134
In the comedy club, you will find the silly cartoon
AVs. I happen to have a few of them myself :-) Now if we head
on back out of the club and on down the street, we will run into
the Barber Shop and Beauty Salon.
Street number 126
If you click on the door to the Beauty Shop, you
will find the regular size AVs for women, like we all have on
in these pictures. Inside the Salon is below.
Beauty Salon room number 135
The Beauty Salon is one street down from the bus
stop 10 and the Comedy club. I wanted to show you how to change
AVs. You will see the Old look, reset and new look.
Click on New Look or Next in each of the AV rooms
to get new AVs. If you look at your log window when you hit new,
it will tell you how many AVs are in that room. AV 1/55 will be
in your log or something like that LOL
Very important! Do not hit new or next too fast!
Give a few seconds between AVs or you could be booted for scrolling
too fast!
Some rooms will have Next at the top of the screen,
that would mean there are two AV rooms, like at the beach resort
there are two AV rooms for ladies swim wear.
To save what you have on, right click on yourself
and save/wear Avatar.. a window will pop up, hit the save button
and be sure to change the location to an empty one each time you
save. These will also be saved in your prop bag, piece by piece.
Remember I showed you were to find that in part 1.
This is the Dressing Room - room number 10.
As you can see by the screen, this a good place
to go if you want to share your AV with someone!
To whisper to someone, you put your cursor over
them and right click, hit whisper to.. you are now whispering
to that person and no one else can hear you. It will also say
above where you are typing that you are talking to that person's
name. You can unwhisper by right clicking on them again and stop
whispering. You will notice while whispering that everyone else
in the room got dark! They stay dark till you quit whispering.
This was important because, to give someone your
clothes, whisper to them and then type in dressup.
To avoid being dresed type in nodress and to be
able to be dressed if you change your mind, type in redress. Instructions
are of course in the dressing room on how to do this.
In case you forgot, this is the prop bag button,
click on it and your prop bag will open.
Picture below shows the prop bag open. You highlight
a prop and double click on it, and you are then wearing that piece.
Be sure and hit the naked button first, if you are wanting to
put together a complete outfit this way. You are only allowed
to wear 9 pieces at a time.
