to post pictures of the kittens, It's just one heck of a month this past month. My last day at this job should be today and then I will move on to something else.. either another office that the temp guy sent my resume too or a service center for a bank.
I gave away two kittens last night, they turned 7 weeks old saturday and are terrorizing the house.. got attacked by the remaining 3 when I tried to go to the bathroom this morning.. they think my leg is a climbing and biting pole!!!
It's quiet around the house without the boys being here but it's always nice for me and R to get a little closer. We seem to be able to spend more quality time together and do more things together when the boys are visiting their dad and grandparents.
I realized yesterday how stressed my last job made me. I was grouchy and tense all the time so thank you to them for firing me cause my son got sick LOL I'm now stress free again! :-) and, I would have gotten fussed at by my entire family if I would have quit.. so you saved me the trouble.
I have to get ready for work now.. kinda like this 9-5 hours .. maybe I can look for another one with this kind of hours,... the business next door to this one is 10-5!

We had two soccer practices today and then we pack and had down the interstate to take the boys to their dads and I get about 80 miles more or less down the interstate and the ball joint or something breaks and the tire .. wheel and all brakes off the car.. we are going 80 in the passing lane with the cruise control on in 3 lanes of traffic.. spring break traffic no less and I then have no brakes and no steering.. thankfully the people on the interstate today were paying attention.. might have been the smoke barreling from the tire that was screaching across the asphalt as the car was sliding on it but no less, they all screeched on their brakes and let me some how maneuver the car to the side of the road where the tire that it was sliding on.. went side ways and stopped us.. remember no brakes cause when the tire broke off it snapped the brake line.
We sat on the side of the interstate 2 hours waiting on the wrecker.. boys pretty much went straight to bed and now I'm sitting here wide awake .. the events of today going over and over in my head and what Could have happened to us today.
My back is now killing me, my chest hurts and the tape player in the car which hasn't worked since I've been driving that car.. which btw is Ruben's car .. now mysteriously works.. must have gotten shaken to death and now works.. see a little beating on non working things makes them work LOL
He thinks I wrecked his car and then he left before I could explain that I didn't wreck it.. it broke on it's own and could have killed us. He said it doesn't matter about the car .. only that we are ok.. but why did he go ahead and leave anyway? I know he already had plans for tonight but it really would have been nice if he would have stayed here just this once because I really need him right this minute.
I'm shaking, my heart is racing and I can't calm down. I've never had anything like this happen to me in my entire life. I've rear ended someone, I've had someone hit me head on, but I saw them coming and was bracing for it.. this was unseen and it scared me half to death. I remained calm the 3 hours it took to get back home and now the boys are asleep and I'm a wreck.
I'm going to try and lay down and sleep because I have to do this all over again tomorrow.. attempt taking them to their dad.

Kittens are now 6 weeks old and have to go! Damn things missing the litter box ain't gonna happen any more. I love kittens but they are smelly little things.

My son, who has been sick 3 times in the past month is home sick today.. I got a call yesterday at lunch and it was him on the phone from his school and he was telling me that he doesn't feel good and to come and get him. I was on my way out the door at work to do my daily mail and bank run and then my lunch.. I told him that I had to go ahead and go to the mail box and the bank and that I would come and get him when I got finished. It took me about an hour and a half to do my errands and then get back to town.. cause I work in another town.
I take him straight to the doctor and he has strep throat.. he said his ear hurt, I never suspected strep. So, I'm home again today because he was told to stay home till tomorrow. He also has some medicine to take.
Now, I love my boys and I know it's not his fault he got sick but dang.. I am working through a temporary service at the job I'm at now and I've already been talked to about missing work because of my kids being sick and the place they stay at after school has been closed before and I had to leave work early, and the day they didn't have school I had to go in late and leave early.. the day I wrecked my car I left early, yesterday I left early and today I'm here.
I went yesterday to get an application to be a substitute teacher, might be my only option in raising boys that can't help getting sick.
So far, in the past few years, we've been through.. chicken pox. strep throat more times than I can count, bronchitis, pneumonia and I don't even know what else. Before, I worked at the college and it was crucial for me being there.. so if the boys were sick, it wasn't a huge thing that I missed work.. except for my paycheck.
I don't know what to do, what am I suppose to do when my boys get sick, or what if I get sick? Like back in June when I was running a temp of 104 and was sick in bed for 3 days???
Anyone have any advice? I think I just need to turn in my money today to do the sub. teacher thing.. at least that way I can take time off when needed and I'm not fussed at or made feel like a heel because I missed work because of my boys being sick. I can do temp work in the summer for money and on long holidays. Temp. places here are pretty understanding and keep you in work if they know your situation.
I feel like such a bad mom because I have only missed a half a day at work because of something that I had to take care of, I've missed the rest because of my boys. I almost sent Big J to school anyway today, although he was contagious! because I don't need to miss work for fear of loosing my job. I feel horible for thinking this way, but I really don't want to loose my job. What is a single mom suppose to do????
Gonna get for now, might as well clean the house while I'm sitting here with the sickly one.

oh my gosh, you just wouldn't believe my luck.
I buy a new video card for my old computer and it crashes it cause I only have a 300 mhz processor and I am running Windows XP on it, so the two together would make it turn itself off everytime I attempted to push any button.
So, I go and buy this new bad boy hehehehe.. new Dell Dimension DIM 4600 Pentium 4 2.6 ghz processor, 80 gb hard drive and it has a sub woofer with it and a very good video card!!
Anyway, I hook this bad boy up and my dang cable modem won't work with it, so, I sign up for the free aol internet service and hook my phone line up to this thing and it takes a year and a day to do anything, even with my fast system. Then all of a sudden, the cable modem starts working again.. It dawned on me that maybe my computer needed to be named the same as the other one, so when I did that is when the modem started working again... is that not the strangest thing???
So, I've been reinstalling things and getting things the way I want them on here, took me a day to remember my sign in url for MT :-)

After I promised to put up pictures of the cat, I installed a new graphics card on my computer because I had bought the older child an early birthday present and he wanted Star Wars Galaxy..it's an online game that you buy the software in the store and then pay to play online.. Well.. this all said and done..the jerks don't state on the damn box that I need a freaking 100.00 video card to run this bad boy on my 4 YEAR OLD computer.
I admit, I should have known better, but I have replaced almost every single part of this computer in the past year.. with the exeption of.. sound card, video card, mother board and processor.
So, I go get me a sound card.. 3 in fact, I kept having to exchange them because they were either not powerful enough of wrong slot kind. I fortunately got this 99.98 video card on sale for 79.98 and goodie for me it has a 20.00 rebate! :-)
Put it in my computer, install the drivers and my computer goes freaking nuts. Everytime you boot the thing up, it shuts itself back down, so I assume I got a virus.. after 4 virus scans and defragmenting the hard drive... I am talking with this guy and he says.. your video card is too powerful with having windows xp and this card on your little ole 300 mhz processor :-) silly me right?
So anyway, I haven't been online because every time I booted up the computer, it threw me right back out of here. Put the OLD video card back in here and I'm good to go... but now I have a brand spanking new video card just sitting here and my son still can't play his game that I now have 45.00 for game, 14.99 for online play and 79.98 Plus tax in all this for Birthday present!
So, yesterday went computer shopping and I know have a big bad boy Dell that has the correct video card, 2.6 ghz processor and 53 gb hard drive that will arrive at my house on Wednesday.. so how's that for a freaking 11 year old's birthday??? sheesh!
It's all good though, I get the big bad monster computer hehehe and he gets this rebuilt thing of mine.. and it's a good computer..got new 120 gb hard drive, new floppy, new CD ROM, new CD rewriter, more RAM, new USB ports, everything but motherboard, processor and sound card is new.. will look for those over time and when I get a new processor in here I'll just put that new video card back in it and the boys will be all set to go.
Next will be updates on the babies..I also have a pic of the little guys pine wood derby car for this year.

Only because the oldest one is sick again. He threw up all night last night and so here I sit. I just can't sit here at my house anymore when I know I need and want to be at work. I'm bored out of my mind and if I keep missing days because of things happening..although they are out of my control.. I'll probably loose yet another job.
You just can't be a mom with young kids and work.. this is what I'm beginning to believe. Especially when you are the only one that can take care of your children.
Last week, I wrecked my car, week before that..same child sick.. I'm just about to give up.
On a nicer and more up beat note. R put down new tile in the kitchen and the bathroom this weekend and it looks wonderful. I love that guy to death, and don't know what I would do without him. Which is another thing that has me down today, because in the back of my mind I just keep thinking that I'm going to loose him.. something is going to happen and he's going to walk out of my life. Or I'm going to do something stupid and run him away. I tend to be overly jealous at times and this can create problems. I try to overcome the jealousy but my insecurities about myself just take over me too much some times. I trust R, I'm just too insecure at times. I need to just get over it, but it's hard. I'm much better than I used to be though.
I don't want him to ever be out of my life.. I know he is the right person for me because he calms me and he makes me happy. Something I've needed for a long time.
Anyway.. I'm going to get the camera and will post a babies update pic for their 3 weeks old :-)
