My mood for today

I was updating some of my link pages links and came across this test that says to check what emotional status you are in for today. Mood Analysis Test.. so here's my results:

You have always longed for tenderness, love and a sensitivity of feeling into which you would like to blend. You are a very gentle warm person and responsive to 'All things bright and beautiful'. This personifies a caring person, a person who 'needs' and indeed 'needs to be needed'.

You are a true extrovert, frivolous and outgoing. You need to feel in control of any situation. If matters are not proceeding according to plan you tend to get extremely irritable and perhaps become difficult to live with.

All the problems that you have been experiencing of late seem to have become a part of your life and there is little that can be done to change the situation. Your emotions run high - but even though you feel as if at times you are about to burst this situation will pass. Try to release your pent-up emotions by participating in some extra physical activities like running, swimming, whatever. There must be some favorite pastime, not necessarily strenuous, that can help you to relax.

It is said that we are all influenced by our environment and indeed you are no exception. It would seem at this time that even though you may be surrounded by people, you are experiencing an inner loneliness. Fortunately you are sufficiently strong minded to realise that life has a great deal to offer you and that you may miss your share of experiences if you fail to make the best use of every opportunity. You therefore pursue your objectives with a fierce intensity and are prepared to commit yourself deeply and readily. You believe that whatever you would like to do or think 'you can do' - you do! It is because of this attitude that you may be considered by others as arrogant and even conceited, but its fair to say that whatever it is that you really want out of life you will put your heart and soul into it and will not take 'NO' for an answer.

You have so many ideas that you would like to revitalize but you need to realize a stable and peaceful condition to do so. Once you can free yourself from all the aggravation and tension around you, you will make strides that may amaze you. You will not be prevented from achieving all the things you so desire.

Above test came from the Colorgenics site here

Thanks Donna for letting me know I'd forgotten the link :-) I have more tests you can take on my links page here

Political Correctness

Was over at Moody Mamas blog and she was talking about people being so politically correct. There are all kinds of different examples here.. holidays, english grammar, slang terms. Some people just seem to always find fault in others instead of just letting people live.

My example here is the older boys new school that he is going to this year. To be honest. I love the school, I enjoy volunteering there and everyone is very helpful and friendly. But..we have gone politically correct over there as to not offend any parents.

ok.. here's the deal. I am the older man's room mom, so, I plan all the holiday parties. Except, this year they are not holiday parties, they are seasonal festivals.
Little guy had a halloween party, with pumpkins and goblins and all halloweenie type things. Older guy had to have a Fall Festival, no pumpkins, no witches, no cats, no ghosts.. only fall related items were allowed. Now, do you know how hard this job was for me being the room mom??? I wanted to put all their candy in halloween buckets but was not allowed. Come on, they are kids.. throw the crap out when they get home if you don't like it! I have to call all the parents to ask what they can contribute to the "parties" one got a little irate with me and I had to convince her that there would be NOTHING Halloween what so ever at this party except that the day it's on.. and she proceeds to say.. "well thank you for not having halloween parties but you could have changed the date of the festival" ok whatever right?

Christmas.. oh I'm sorry. Winter Blast Party, nothing can be Christmasy.. only snowflakes or wintery looking, no christmas trees, decorations.. nothing of the sort. Again, I wanted to put their candy and gifts in little stockings.. thought that would be really cute, but NO.. I had to find little goodie bags at Wal-mart with snowmen on them. Little guy came home with his candy in a stocking with his name on it.

Valentine's day.. little guy will exchange valentine's cards and will probably make some kind of box to put them in.. big guy.. "Ice Cream Social" . Should be interesting.. guess I'll just find spring looking things for this party.

I'm not complaining.. really I'm not, it's just .. let people be, let them live their lives. quit being whiney ass complainers all the time. So, you don't celebrate halloween, don't criticize those who do.. So you don't celebrate Christmas.. that's ok, I don't celebrate Kwanzaa or any of the other's but I'm not gonna give you a horrible time because we don't celebrate the same thing.

I don't celebrate half the celebrations and festivals that go on throughout the world, but I'm not going to judge someone else's culture or heritage or if they just celebrate for fun.

One exampe is Christmas and New Years with Ruben's family.. They are a different culture and religion than my family so we celebrate just a little differently. Let me tell you, I had a blast with his family and although I am still learning alot of their customs.. they have a very close family and it's something that I've never really had... Dang my family christmas was boring as hell compared to his! But he enjoyed being with us for christmas and I enjoyed being with him and his family. First time I've done anything on New Years in YEARS!

Anyway, my point here is, accept other's as who they are, don't go around trying to throw off your beliefs and your customs on others just because you think your way is best. We are all different, thats what makes us who we are. I can see why the school system would not want to rock the boat. But for those of us who are adults.. grow up, let people live their lives and let others just be happy and quit trying to spoil it for everyone.

((Hugs)) till later .. gotta head over to Decatur and get my last pay check ::sniff sniff:: no job yet!

Ended up not going to the flea market yesterday. Ruben said he really didn't want to go in case he saw something he wanted and since we are going to be short on money till I get a new job, he thought it best not to go.. which is cool with me. We just hung out together all day and then his brother and cousin came over last night and they watched movies.

I've been copying tapes, paying bills and attempting to clean today. Ruben will be home from work in about 45 minutes so I need to get a rush on doing the dishes!

You know.. I don't want to sound sappy here..but I have found myself to be crazy, happily, wonderfully, totally in love and I get all excited around this time every single day because I know in a little while, the love of my life will be walking through that door. :-) ok.. sappiness time over.. just thought I'd share

oh, before I go, saw one of the stalkers friends today, he rode up the street in front of my house as I was pulling out to go and pay Ruben's brothers phone bill (yes, he gave me the money to pay it and extra for my time) anyway.. this guy stares over at me pulling out of my drive and then he sees me going in this store so he turns and pulls in too and when I'm leaving, he sits in the parking lot waiting for me to get in my car before he pulls out. I'm thinking.. great.. now more run ins with my old stalker.. haven't ran into him or any of his friends in months and have been quite peaceful not seeing him. I'll keep you posted if he starts appearing again. I'll also let my nephew know so they can start patroling my house at night. Hopefully. it was nothing :-)

((hugs)) till later

What a great saturday

We ended up not going to either place we had planned and we ended up in Birmingham this morning. We headed straight up to the Vulcan because he had been under construction and I noticed the last few times that I dropped the boys off in Georgia that he was back up. But... the grounds were still under construction although he was finished. (and if I had went to the above site before we left for Birmingham, I would have known it was still closed, but I actually didn't know we were going there till we got to Ruben's sisters house)

We cruised around Birmingham for a little while..cause I went the wrong direction on a street LOL but it was ok, because we ended up at this great Mexican Restaurant right at lunch time. The name of it is Los Compadres and it's located in Homewood. I had what they called El Burro Loco ..translated into English is The Crazy Donkey --- ROFL! It was excellent, we'll go back there when we go back to Birmingham. But, next time I'm gettig Pollo Asado.. which was chicken breast and rice. Ruben and his brother got it and it looked great, plus I sampled Ruben's chicken and it was excellent tasting as well.

After lunch we cruised on over back past the Vulcan again.. (remember I went the wrong way!) and we went to the Birmingham Zoo. It was pretty cool even though it rained on us a little bit and alot of the animals are not out this time of year. But, it was great getting out like we did today. We didn't spend very much money and had a great time.

We had a great outing, left about 9 this morning and was home by 5.

We are leaving at 6 am.. yes you heard me.. 6 am in the morning to go to a flea market that's like 2 hours away. According to his sister it's a great one, so we shall see.

I don't have any pictures to share because Ruben had the camera all day filming, he loves that new camera :-) I swear, he filmed from the time we got into Birmingham, driving all the way up to the Vulcan! And, then Everything in the zoo. oh they had the coolest white tiger, I wanted to bring him home! He kept rubbing the glass in front of us like he was wanting to be petted.

ok.. I gotta go for now. Here's a link to Ruben's groups site again. I did a little remodeling this week. Still needs some work, but it's looking better and I have to add all their pictures. Grupo Gitanillos

((Hugs)) bye for now.

An update

I guess I need to explain why I've been here during the day huh? I really haven't been in the mood all week to talk about this but I did tell Cindy the other day when we were chatting on here.

Tuesday, the company that I work for was bought out buy another company and at about 3:30 that day, the new asshole umm guy, called me and my boss into his office and says. As of today, I don't want you all to come back to work here because I want my own people in this office. Nothing personal, I don't know you and you've always been nice as can be to me, but I'm sure you'll be fine.

ok.. nothing personal? It is personal when I now have no job.. I just bought that car 3 freaking weeks ago and I really did like working there. Actually, I thought I was finally going to be able to survive normally, instead of pay check to paycheck and worrying about paying all the bills. Now.. back to the story of my life. Worrying about where the heck I'm going to get the money to pay next months bills.

But, you know what? I'll be fine, because I am a much stronger person than I've ever been before. This is all thanks to Ruben coming into my life and he always makes me see the positive side of life. I know I'll get another job and I know we'll all be fine. I just really really liked that kind of job. (big huge pouty face here!!) I don't want to go back to those factory jobs cause they pretty much sucked!! I liked my office job and I liked the pay damnit. Ok.. I'm done whining now and I"ll be all better :-)

The boys left yesterday morning with my sister on their way to Disney World... they will return Tuesday night. Me, Ruben, his brother, his sister and her boyfriend are suppose to leave for Atlanta tonight.. nice timing huh? We had planned to go to Chattanooga, but his sister wasn't going to be able to go for some reason. So, plans changed to Atlanta. I don't know why we are going or why now, cause I really don't want to spend any money right now. But, it will be fine.. income tax time coming up in a few weeks.. so we'll be ok. Have you noticed that I keep telling myself that? LOL

Ok.. since I had a dull mood on here today.. how bout liven it up with a little humor.. got this in my mailbox today, or was it yesterday, damn I must be getting old!!

This one was actually sent awhile ago by Liila from RCA group.. enjoy!

Florida or maybe even Mexico.. if I can ever learn more freaking Spanish

Who is the person you can count on most?

Yeah, it's friday

It's been such a LONG week.
I am so very happy that it is Friday and I can sleep a little later in the morning. I have alot of cleaning and organizing to do as usual this weekend. The boys are leaving for Disney on Thursday morning, so I need to get everything orgainzed and ready to pack up.

Me, Ruben, his brother, his sister and her boyfriend are suppose to go to Chattanooga next weekend.
I WAS excited about going and then today and I'm walking out of my office to leave work..my boss is like...hope you have no plans for next weekend because we're working.. Like Hell you say! I got plans, and I wasn't hired on to work weekends. The hell with that.. I can get everything entered into that computer in a week's work.. why take off a day during the week to work on a saturday? Is she crazy?

I'm going to start looking elsewhere for employment because I was finally stress free after so many years of continued stressful living ...all the stress in my life was Gone... and now this job is adding stress to my life and causing me to start eating again. Anyway, I'll deal with all this as it comes, I am still remaining fairly stress free. I just don't like feeling this coming on.

Well, Ruben is over at his brother's house and I'm ready for bed already! So, gonna finish putting up my Valentine's stuff on here and then I'm off to bed.

((Hugs)) till later. oh.. got some cool pictured from New Years.. will load them on here when I get the time.. can you believe it? I don't have much time for the computer anymore. I actually have a life!! :-)

Been a different kind of week

I've been quiet, this is one reason why here
My nephew is an Athens City Police and my dad was till he died when I was a baby.
The house this happened at was behind the house I grew up and spent 22 years of my life at.

Also, Ruben's brother and a friend were in car wrecks. They are alright though. I'm also not looking forward to my boys getting on a plane Wednesday to go to Disney. I know they will have a blast, just wish they were going in a car, bus or train and not a plane.

Gonna go for now, I'm freezing to death!! It was 12 degrees yesterday morning and it's 30 now and kinda snow, sleet, rain thing going on outside.

((hugs)) later
