I took some pictures of the Christmas Party Wednesday night when Ruben's group played at their family christmas party.
I know it's dark, but I think it's kinda cool that way because you can see one of their lights going across the background.
Anyway, from left to right, it's the two brothers.. Ruben, his cousin, then his two brothers and, that's Jany up front with the santa hat on.. she had his cousins camera and was filming them .. she was helping me out cause I had both cameras again that night.

Been working on a few things

I've been building a place for Ruben's group to be on the internet. So, I ended up putting them as a subdirectory in my domain for now.

Ruben is second from the left. That's his little brother on the left at the keyboard, him with the drumsticks and his big brother on the right of him. Ruben sings most of the songs. This was taken in Nov. I took more good pictures Christmas Eve night at their families Christmas party. They played music. We had a great time.

I've had off work since Tuesday afternoon, so I'm cooking a turkey, did some shopping and cleaning house. Also recording the video tapes onto VHS tapes. Gotta go for now. I have to check on the turkey and the tapes LOL

It's finally friday, I thought it would never get here. After shaking and freezing to death last night after the parade and my fever spiking up and down.. I'm much better today. Just felt really tired and wanted to nap all day, but worked instead.

I work again tomorrow morning, then Ruben has to play tomorrow night at a restaurant. They went tonight to set up their equipment.

Hmmm, no friday five again. I know I'm being totally boring this week, but I've felt horrible and haven't had much time to do anything at all. I'll try and get my house back together this weekend and hopefully will start feeling better.

today was busy

The day went by very fast today. Did alot of work today at work, then came home and me and the little guy walked the Christmas parade.. all I can say is.. NOT a very smart thing to do, when you already feel sick. It started sprinkling rain right as the parade started, it had been doing this off and on all day so the roads were wet. My right foot was completely soaking wet by the middle of the parade and freezing to death, cause it's 40 degrees. I now hardly have a voice and my temp. shot up to over 103. Took some tylenol and feel better now. Little guy had fun, but he's exhausted now and went to bed early.

That's where I'm heading now as well.. bed.. oh.. parade was extra short this year, guess the cold and drizzles kept everyone from being in the parade. Was a little disappointing.

Updates

Friday I woke up at like 3:30 am and my brother was here at 4 to get me and we drove over to GA and got all my belongings that have been stored over there all these years. We also drove on over to the farm and said hi to everyone and saw the boys for a little while. Little guy gave me some things to pack up that he'd been keeping at his dad's and decided he wanted them at home instead. We got home about 8 pm.

Saturday, I spent the day running errands trying to find things for Ruben. New pants and things because they were playing music that night. We got ready and was at the party at 8. I filmed the entire night with not 1 but 2 cameras! It was over at 1:30. I got home and was recording the tapes, then Ruben came home after packing up all the equipment and we were watching the tapes and got to sleep about 5 am.

We were up fairly early (considering what time we went to sleep) on Sunday. I got out all the Christmas stuff from my building and got it all in the house to start getting the house looking all like Christmas. We got the tree up and then the boys Grandfather called and said he was ready to meet me, so we headed out the door and didn't get back home till 11 pm.. dang holiday travellers! :-)

Monday, back to work.. I'm feeling like crap because I'm coming down with something. I've actually been fighting it off for awhile now, but it's hitting my chest and my throat something fierce and I'm miserable. I drop the boys off and am on my way to work and the driver's side front tire blows on the car. I call work and inform them that I have to change this tire and then get a replacement so I might be awhile. I actually did good putting on the spare tire. I was attempting to tighten the lug nuts when Ruben found me. We went and got another tire and I was at work by 10:30. Got home and Ruben had been shopping and bought me a new sweater ahhhhh.. he's so sweet!

Tuesday headed back to work and ran errands part of the day. Learned some new things in the office and was feeling worse today than I did yesterday.. the cough kicks in today!

Wednesday, I totally feel like crap but I'm heading to work anyway. I now wound like a seal when I cough, my nose is running and I'm sneezing like crazy. My throat is on fire and I bet I got strep throat.. if I had to guess. Ruben goes to work and then comes back home 2 hours later. He no longer has a job.. This just freaking sucks. Just when we were getting ahead and doing great!

Well, tomorrow is another day, and he said he's not worried about it.. He's going with his little brother about a job tomorrow and I have a great job. Christmas parade is tomorrow night and I have to walk it with the little guy. Maybe I won't fall over in my tracks :-)
