the sore muscles, the legs and back hurting LOL no just kidding..
we have a blast every year. We always go to the same neighborhood where we know over half the people there and the boys get a ton of candy.

I called my sister this morning because for 1, I knew that I had been feeling bad all week running a fever and 2, I knew Ruben had to work over time tonight and wouldn't be able to go with us.

She, of course, said no problem that she'd be here about 6. I get home from work at 5:30 and she's already gone and picked the boys up and they were all ready to go. I give Ruben my normal hugs and kisses before he goes to work and away we all go.

We get to the neighborhood and walk the entire place, talked to some people I knew along the way and by the last two streets the oldest is ready to sit down! LOL Him and my sister head up that one street and me and the little guy take the last side street before heading back up the last street.

I am guessing it was about 7:40 by now and we probably left the house .. well I know we left the house before 6 because Ruben always leaves for work about 5:45 and we all left at the same time. So I guess it took us about 1 hour and 40 minutes to walk this neighborhood.

Then I called the other sister and told her we were tired and going to eat and we'd stop by her house tomorrow. We stopped at Taco Bell, oldest wouldn't get out of the car because he's tired and gets grumpy when he's tired cause he wanted to go to this buffet place that is very expensive to eat at on a Friday night and we told him no. So we went in to eat and he got to pout. Sounds too harsh? well, sorry but he's getting to old to baby and that was just being stubborn and being a big baby.. if you're hungry, you damn well better eat when you are offered the food.

Next we head over to my brother's house, because it's on the way back home and we always go there too and he's Not home.. oh well.. will visit him tomorrow too.

We come home, sister attempts digging through the boys candy while being fought off by little one LOL (not really, he was playing.. he don't mind her taking what he calls the nasty candy)

She got her stuff we had to order for the school fund raiser, got her candy and she was on her way.. Oldest one is looking like a zombie on the couch and he's in bed about 15 minutes later.

There at the end of the trick or treating I could feel my fever starting to go up a little so I took some more tylenol while we were at Taco Bell.. I have to get me some antibiotics tomorrow, but I have so much to do again tomorrow.

Anyway, for now I'm going to bed.. You just don't know what you are missing out on when you miss moments like tonight with your kids. We always talk about the year before, the houses, the costumes, the people. And, we always have a great time, even though we are exhausted when we get home :-)

Well, well

I get the car back this afternoon and now the freaking check engine soon light is on.. something that has never happened before, the tires had no air in them what so ever.. 1 had 0 pressure and the other front tire about 5 pounds of pressure.
Ruben comes to pick me up at work and he's fuming.. well he's never fuming, but his own way of being upset.. cause the freaking car is getting HOT!!
We took the car in to get repaired for TWO things.. radiator and brakes.. and now the freaking radiator is still over heating.. what jerks.
He's suppose to say something to the guy tonight.. we'll see what happens. I told him I would take it in Saturday to get my free oil change that I won back in the spring and get them to check to see why the check engine soon light is on.. and if this guy did it.. he's in so much trouble.

On to work... I started in a new building Monday at work.. I've hated it since day one because my back is killing me from leaning over counting things all day.. not to mention that it's so boring I can't stand it.. you have to keep me moving, I can't stand this. Well, today a girl was out that does packing and shipping and I got to do her job because she showed me a little bit about what she does yesterday because she knew she wasn't going to be there today. I had a great day, I loved what I did today and I think I did a pretty good job, at least I hope I did! Tomorrow we are having a barbeque.. compliments of the company, so we get a long lunch. :-)

I've been getting chills for two days now, it started yesterday at work. I would get chills and then I would be ok. Last night I had some major chills.. I'd just take tylenol and keep going at work, but last night I kept going straight to bed LOL Today the chills have come and gone, I take tylenol when I feel myself getting cold .. this morning I was sweating to death. Now I have a 102 temp.. nice huh? I can't miss work, although I've been at the same place for well over a month. I've only been in this building 3 days. (new supervisor and all) I've only missed one day of work and that was because I had that field trip that they were well aware of before I started working there.

Older boy went to church with his friend tonight, so as soon as he gets home, it's off to bed for me again.

I STILL HAVE NO CAR! Stupid idiots.. all I wanted was the radiator and brakes fixed and you screw up my car?????? It won't hold a charge, it's running off the battery and they can't figure out why?? It wasn't doing this when I dropped the car off friday now was it? Tomorrow, tomorrow, I promise by 2 or you get some of your money back... damn sure betcha I WILL.

Ruben had to take the boys to school this morning, take me to work, then take his little brother to work, then come back and get me at work, pick up the boys, then drive back to Huntsville AGAIN so he can go to work. That's just messed up. And for anyone that reads regularly, you know I don't normally write like this.. so you know I'm pissed off as can be right now.

My new department at work sucks big time. I stand up all day long and count.. it's boring as hell and my back is killing me.. but I do make more money and get an hour lunch every day. But, have to work till 5 which is not good with our current car situation.

still no car

called the guy all day yesterday and he kept saying.. call back in this amount of time, I found this wrong with the car too.. I'm like.. look dude, I said the freaking radiator, brakes and rotors, not a complete overhaul.
Finally at 5:30 he says it's ready, come get it. Borrow a ride, get there and he has the hood up and the alternator out of the car. His mechanic who has not worked on this car all day.. was another one.. swears it's bad and He's a certified technician and he's tested it and it's bad.. I'm like ummm NO, I just replaced the freaking battery and the alternator was tested and it's NOT bad.
We sit there for two hours, he goes and gets a new alternator, puts it on.. it won't work because it's the wrong one. He takes it back and they tell him that MY alternator that he had to leave is NOT bad.. fucking prick trying to rip my ass off. This is not Ruben's friend from work saying it's bad, it's his mechanic that he had look at it as we were coming to pick the car up. I can tell he's upset because he told us it was ready and gave a really good price on everything he did, and now we have to turn around and come back home with no car, because it's in pieces.
Josh went to his first party party last night, it was a fellow classmate's halloween party. He's been to birthday parties, just never a regular party. anyway, I'm upset because we had to drop him off an hour early to the party (with the mom's permission of course) and it's 9 now and the party is going to be over in one hour and the car is not ready. He said that it would be ready by noon today. I said it better because I have work tomorrow and if that car isn't ready when all he was told to repair was brakes and a radiator.. all hell's gonna break loose. I mean, don't get me wrong, he's giving a great price on all he did.. it's just ASK first and maybe Next trip you can repair all your little heart desires. Don't repair every little thing wrong in a 10 year old engine in 1 visit!!!!
this visit I got.. new radiator, brakes, rotors (couldn't be turned.. had to be replace), some kinda line to the transmission, and he said it needed a new valve cover gasket.

Ruben worked on the kitchen last night, he got the ceiling completely sanded and one coat of paint up there. My kitchen looks funny finished. LOL I have sheetrock sawdust all over my entire kitchen now, but that's ok..it's worth it.. Gotta love him :-)

HHHmmmmmm.....

no friday five to play along with this week, so I guess I'll just post a short note. Been busy this week with the field trip and planning for the oldest one's party at school on friday.. since I'm the room mom. I start in a new department Monday at work. I'll no longer be scanning those cell phones. I'll be in another building and another department :-) So, I had the day off today since I'm switching jobs on Monday..

took the car in FINALLY to get it repaired. It's Supposed to be ready by 2 tomorrow. The guy is a friend of Ruben's from work and he has his own car repair business, so I hope he's giving me a good deal. It needs the radiator repaired and new brakes and the rotors turned or whatever the heck you do with rotors. Also has some sort of shimmy in the front and may need the front end aligned or a wheel balanced. Anyway, looking forward to having the thing back and in perfect shape again. It's a good car, I just couldn't afford to repair it till now. Now.. to get that down payment for the Blazer I want and I'll be set :-)

Oldest one had one of his friends come over tonight and wanted him to spend the night so just have the little one here tonight, and he is being very very quiet. I think he's either tired or just not feeling too good from our weather changing so much here lately. I mean it's 40s in the morning and 80s in the afternoons.

Ruben went to take his little brother's car back to him. We've had it since Tuesday. I think he's taking him to get our car tomorrow and then dropping his off to get his brakes repaired. I think they might have band practice tonight..they usually do on Fridays. But, I'm not waiting up.. I'm sleepy and going to bed. I didn't sleep good last night so now I'm sleepy way too early. Anyway, he'll wake me up when he gets home :-)

Chattanooga

Today I took off work to go on the oldest one's field trip. We went to The Tennessee Aquarium in Chattanooga. We had 5 chartered buses and over 200 5th graders .. lucky me right? :-) Actually, I had a group of 8 and we had a blast.

We got up around 5 am, got to the school before 6 and the buses got lost finding us, so we didn't leave till about 7. Took several hours to get there, we watched a movie on the way there. (very nice buses!) Got there and divided up into our groups, took the tour of the Aquarium.. I had a great group, we all stuck together and had a good time. Then we ate lunch and headed over to the Imax 3D theatre which is totally cool, the kids had a blast and so did I. We got back on the buses and headed home.. watched another movie back and got unloaded, picked up the little one and back home before 5.

Got Ruben's dinner ready and got him off to work, got the boy's fed and now I've got some dishes and laundry calling my name and then I'm off to bed so I can be ready for work tomorrow.

We really did have a great time though. If you've never been to Chattanooga, it's the coolest town. This was my very first trip to the Aquarium and I've been to Rock City once. I plan on going back. I came home and told Ruben that we are going up there and we are going to have a good time. By the way, he took my new froggie key chain that I got in the gift shop!!

Saturday

Today I worked 6 hours and then I come home and do my weekly house cleaning. I really don't have time to do alot of cleaning during the week, so Saturday is my designated clean the pig pen day :-)

Ruben is almost finished with my laundry room, just needs the trim finished. I started putting things back in there today. We need to buy one more shelf and he's going to make another one to go over the washer and dryer and then get a new laundry room sink. Threw the old thing out the door LOL The room looks so big now with that old cabinet gone out of there.

Right now, Ruben is behind our house at his brother's house and they are all practicing music. Wanda came and got the boys and they went to watch Pirates of the Carribean. I went through a few blogs and some email and then I'm off to finish with the pig pen, Hopefully, I'll have it back to looking like a house here in about an hour. Just have a little bit more vacuuming to do and then to finish the laundry.

It was warm

Well, it was warm here, now it's getting more like fall. The leaves are finally turning colors and it's getting chilly weather.. cooler in the mornings and the wind blowing a little bit. I think it's nice though.

Work went by so slowly today!!! I broght my lunch today. Got tired of "machine" food LOL We only get 30 minutes and that really isn't enough time to even attempt to go any place and eat.

Ruben has been painting this week. I got home from work yesterday and he had finished up the upper trim in the laundry room. I think it looks pretty good. He's so cute getting so excited over his handy work.

I have been so busy this week. I get home from work and have about 10 to 20 minutes to help Ruben get ready and leave for work. Then, I get the boys dinner ready and if there is any homework left we finish it, then I do laundry or dishes or whatever needs to be done and get our clothes out for the next morning and now I'm fixing me some lunch to take with me to work for the next day. I try and get everything ready the night before. I just simply do not have time in the mornings. I have to get the boys up and have them to school and I can't get them to school before 7:30 and then I have to be at work 20 miles away by 8:00. I am getting to work just barely in time. I am going to see if I can pay my neighbor to take the boys to school in the mornings. I think she will like it since she works at the college too and isn't working till Dec. I'll try and catch her this weekend and ask her.

I was reading some of my archives earlier and was reading about last year when me and Ruben first met. I remember how I felt about him then and it's still such a great feeling :-) Actually, it's much better now!

ok.. gotta get off here.. my eyes hurt and my head has been hurting for about a week from this crazy weather we are having here. Oldest boy went to church with our old neighbor and as soon as he gets back home, I'm going to bed.

Cat in the lap

I've been sitting here reading blogs tonight and my son's cat Smokey decided to be a lap cat and is crashed out on me. He's such a bum. His head keeps falling back and I wake him up laughing at him. He has been staying outside but he met me at the door meowing tonight so I let him in and he seems all comfy cozy now.

I got home from work and Ruben had just about finished the laundry room floor. It looks so very nice. I told him that I would like to get those squares to put down in the kitchen next. It has like 30 year old linoleum on it LOL ugly!!!

Fall Holiday

I took the boys to meet their dad today. I'm glad that he is getting them for the week. They really enjoy spending time with him and their grandparents and cousins over there. I'll pick them up on Saturday when I go with my brother to finally get all my things that have been stored over there for years. I have to get a storage building this week because all that shit will never fit in my house.

Ruben has company over tonight, so I'm hanging out in my room drinking wine coolers. I just ordered them some pizza so I'm waiting on the delivery person. I've drank two of my wine coolers and it already has me a little tipsy, so I informed Ruben in private that when I get a little tipsy I get a little frisky and he was laughing so hard at me and said sometimes I'm crazy LOL Yeah.. he knows I'm crazy :-)

Well, gonna go for now.. waiting on the pizza dude, then I'm going to bed.. have work tomorrow..

Freezing my butt off

I don't normally get cold very easy, but I guess since I've been trying to come down with a cold or something this week, I've been freezing my butt off.. now it is 46 degrees outside right now and it's only 8:45, but my fingers feel like ice!! I've been wearing long sleeve shirts to work and not even getting hot all day. BTW.. I like my new job, I got me my very own desk and I sit there and scan cell phones in all day. I probably scanned about 4 thousand today!!

Not really much to talk about today. I have felt like crap for two days now, my nose hurts from blowing it so much. I'm sure I'll have the lovely cough next. I went to the store last night and stocked up on kleenex, vicks vapor rub and allergy/sinus medicine .. oh and chap stick.

The Fiddler's Convention is in town this weekend.. maybe we'll go one day. I really enjoy the arts and crafts they have there every year. Plus, they always have a raffle for a gorgeous quilt. I might have to work saturday, so maybe we'll head up there on sunday.

The boys are out of school next week.. called their dad and he said he can't get them till next weekend.. wtf ever. I try, I'm not going to force them on him. It's his choice and he'll regret it one day when the boys get older.

Anyway, I'm going to bed.. feel like crap and I'm FREEZING!!
